PMU correction work by Beauty Ink PMU Riverdale MD
What it is

Fixing and improving previous PMU — done elsewhere, gone wrong.

Correction work addresses permanent makeup that didn't age well or wasn't done right the first time: faded, discolored (orange, grey, or blue brows), uneven, asymmetrical, too dark, or the wrong shape. The right approach depends entirely on what's already in the skin.

Depending on the case, that may mean color correction with corrective pigments, reshaping, softening, or recommending saline or laser lightening first when the existing work is too saturated to safely work over. This is the studio's specialty, and complex corrections are handled by our master artist.

Is it right for you?

For anyone living with PMU they regret.

If you're unhappy with previous permanent makeup, a correction consultation is the place to start. Send us photos and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.

Your brows turned a strange colorOrange, grey, or blue tones from older or low-quality pigment can often be neutralized with corrective work.
Your work is uneven or asymmetricalMismatched shape, height, or thickness from a previous artist — reshaped where the skin allows.
It's faded or patchyOld brows, lips, or liner that have lost color and need refreshing and evening out.
It's too dark or too saturatedWhen work is too heavy to cover, we'll recommend lightening first so the correction can heal cleanly.

The process

From photos to a clear plan.

Every correction starts with an honest assessment — not every case can be fixed in one session.

1

Assess

Start with a consultation and photos. We review the existing pigment, its color and saturation, and tell you what's realistically possible.

2

Plan

We recommend the right approach — color correction, reshaping, softening, or lightening first — and set clear expectations on timeline and sessions.

3

Correct

We carry out the correction step by step, refining over the sessions your case needs until the result heals right.

Priced at your evaluation

Every case is different. Because this work depends entirely on what you're starting with, your price is determined at your evaluation — an honest plan built for your skin, not a generic number.

Good to know

Corrections, answered

Can you fix my orange or grey brows?
Often, yes. Discolored tones can usually be neutralized with corrective pigments — but it depends on how saturated the existing work is, which is why we start with photos and a consultation.
Can every PMU be corrected in one session?
No. Some cases need multiple sessions, and very dark or heavily saturated work may need lightening first. We'll be upfront about what your case requires before we begin.
What if my old work is too dark to cover?
When existing pigment is too saturated to work over, we'll recommend saline or laser lightening first. Once it's lightened enough, the correction can heal cleanly.
I had my brows done elsewhere — can you still help?
Yes. Most of our correction clients come to us after work done by another artist. Send photos of the current result and we'll tell you what we can do.
How do I start?
Book a consultation and send photos of your current PMU. We'll assess the work, explain your options, and plan the right correction from there.
